Terms and Conditions
The terms that apply when you use our website and services.
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website bitbeadsltd.site and any engagement with Bit Beads Ltd. By using this website, you agree to these terms.
1. About us
This website is operated by Bit Beads Ltd, registered in England & Wales, with its address at 6 Churchill Walk, Bognor Regis, England, PO21 4TR, United Kingdom. Contact [email protected] or +48 794 779 614.
2. Use of the website
You agree to use this website lawfully and not to misuse it. All content is owned by or licensed to us and may not be reproduced without permission.
3. Information provided
Information on this website is provided for general guidance and does not constitute a binding offer or professional advice. Any proposal or quotation is subject to a written agreement.
3a. Descriptions, precious metals and hallmarking
Goods are described by the material they are made of. Under the Hallmarking Act 1973 it is an offence, in the course of a trade or business, to describe an un-hallmarked article as being wholly or partly of gold, silver, platinum or palladium, or to supply such an article so described, subject to the statutory exemption weights. Plated, coated, filled or silver-coloured articles must not be described as silver or gold at all. We therefore describe base metal as base metal and plated items as plated, and we do not use “silver”, “gold”, “sterling”, “crystal” or “gemstone” as decorative descriptions. We claim no sponsor’s mark and no registration with any assay office. Glass, acrylic, resin and reconstituted materials are named as such. Dyed, coated, heat-treated or reconstituted materials are identified where known to us. Natural materials vary in colour, size, grain and finish between batches and are not represented as uniform, and dyed materials may transfer colour. Images and samples are indicative; colour varies with screen and lighting.
3b. Metals, skin contact and nickel
Articles intended to come into direct and prolonged contact with the skin are subject to restrictions on the rate at which they may release nickel under entry 27 of Annex XVII to the assimilated REACH Regulation. Nickel sensitisation is common and, once acquired, permanent. If you are sensitive to any metal, ask about the composition of an item before buying it, and do not use any item whose composition we are unable to confirm. We will tell you what we know and will say so plainly where we do not know. We give no medical advice, and anyone who reacts to an item should stop wearing it and seek advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
3c. Children, toys and safety
Our goods are sold as craft materials for use by adults. They are not sold, supplied or marketed as toys and are not intended for use in play by children. Any product supplied or marketed for use in play by children under fourteen years of age is a toy within the meaning of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011 and must satisfy the essential safety requirements of those Regulations, including those relating to small parts; we make no representation that any item we sell meets them. Small beads, findings and components are a choking hazard for young children and must be kept away from them. Cord, thread and chain worn or placed around the neck of a child present a strangulation hazard. An adult who makes an item intended for a child is responsible for its safety and for the suitability of the materials chosen for that purpose. Tools are sold as hand tools for adult use; we give no instruction or training in their use and accept no responsibility for injury arising from it.
3d. Selling from stalls, your rights, and trading
Goods sold to a consumer must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and those rights are not affected by anything on this website. Goods bought in person at a stall are not distance or off-premises sales, so the 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 does not apply to them; it applies where goods are ordered at a distance, and we will say so at the time if that is the case. Faulty, misdescribed or unfit goods may be returned under the 2015 Act regardless of where they were bought. Stock, materials, sizes and prices vary and are not an offer capable of acceptance. Trading from a stall requires the permission of the market operator or, in some locations, a street trading consent or licence from the local authority; we claim no licence, consent, pitch, accreditation, trade association membership, insurance or award on this website. Where and when we trade varies with the market, the season and the weather, and is not guaranteed — please contact us before making a journey.
4. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, our liability in connection with this website is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
5. Privacy
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
7. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published at the time of your visit applies.
