Glass & Ceramic Beads
Glass and ceramic beads described by what they are made of rather than by what they resemble. Glass beads have sharp-edged holes when poorly finished, so we say which are suitable for cord and which need wire.
Glass and ceramic beads, wooden and natural beads, acrylic and resin beads, findings and clasps, cord and wire, and tools and storage.

Wooden and other natural beads. Natural materials vary in colour, grain and size between batches and we do not pretend otherwise; dyed wood can transfer colour when damp.
Acrylic and resin beads, sold as acrylic and resin. Light in weight, consistent between batches, and not described as glass, stone or gemstone, because they are not.
Clasps, jump rings, ear wires, crimps and headpins. Base metal and plated findings are described as such and never as silver or gold. Items in prolonged skin contact are subject to nickel release limits, so ask if metals affect you.
Stringing materials in the sizes that actually fit the beads we sell, with the hole size and the cord diameter both given so you can match them before you buy rather than after.
Basic jewellery pliers, cutters and storage. Hand tools only; we sell no powered equipment and give no instruction in using any tool.
Because almost every complaint in this trade starts with a description. A bead called a gemstone that is glass, a clasp called silver that is plated, a finding that turns out to contain nickel. Getting the description right is most of the job.
